Surf Session Magazine - Managing Editor to Editor-in-Chief
Launched in 1986 by Pierre Bernard Gascogne and Gibus De Soultrait, Surf Session was and remains the leading surf magazine in Europe with more than 50000 copies sold every month.
Managing Editor for a couple of months, I was given the opportunity to lead the magazine as the new Editor-in-Chief while surf competition was reaching a never seen before craze thanks to Kelly Slater growing popularity. I managed a team of 30 writers and photographers spread around the world.
This gave me the opportunity to launch Surf Session Longboard. A yearly (then bi-annual) special issue. Not only did it bring extra revenue which is never a bad thing but it also pioneered long lasting trends.
